DeLoew?
Who the hell was he?
De Loew is a low-german nick-name. De Löw
It could be translated as "the lion".
He was greatgreatgrandfather/greatgrandfather of the
authors of this homepage.
He worked in several jobs.
As a fisherman he rowed together with others long trips
like from Eckernförde to Sonderborg and the belts.
In wintertimes they did ice-fishing.
That was before engines came into use.
For some years he lived in Sonderborg before in 1920
Sonderborg became danish and many folks of german descent went south to Kiel.
De Loew bought a house at a place which now belongs to Kiel.
That is the house we live in.
My webcam shows a view from one of our windwos (mostly it does so.)
